Grit and Determination for RABsport at the C1 Endurance Series Snetterton Weekend
The 2025 C1 Endurance Series made its Norfolk stop with a thrilling summer race weekend at Snetterton Circuit on 19–20 July. For RABsport Racing, it was a weekend of competitive pace, strong teamwork and mechanical resilience across two entries — running CAT Driver Training (CAT DT) with seasoned drivers Colin Hoad and Mark Hoad alongside the team’s own car 432 under the JL Motorsport‑supported banner of Jake and James Little.
Two Cars, One Mission
Across the three‑hour endurance formats featured that weekend, RABsport fielded two competitive Citroën C1 entries. The CAT DT‑run car carried the experience of the Hoad brothers, while car 432 was campaigned by RABsport’s own driver lineup. The depth of competition meant small margins decided every position, and both cars showed strong pace throughout the races.
In the first endurance race on the weekend, RABsport’s car 432 recorded a solid result, finishing 4th overall in a tightly packed field — an impressive performance that kept the team in the hunt among a dozen closely matched C1 entries.
Meanwhile, partnering with CAT Driver Training, the CAT DT entry benefited from the seasoned racecraft of Colin and Mark Hoad, delivering consistent stints and keeping the car competitive across the duration of both races.
A Weekend of Double Gearbox Work
Off‑track the weekend presented technical challenges that tested the crew’s skill and determination. Between the two main endurance races the RABsport mechanics completed two gearbox changes, a demanding task under the compressed race weekend schedule that would have challenged even the most experienced teams.
That the squad was able to turn both cars back around, get them running and remain competitive on track is a testament to the crew’s professionalism and unwavering commitment — the sort of work that rarely gets noticed unless you’re the team doing it.
Snetterton’s Blend of Speed and Strategy
Snetterton’s long straights and technical corners demand both outright pace and strategic discipline, with traffic management and tyre life critical to keeping a car on the pace throughout an endurance stint. The weekend’s results showed the team’s ability to balance those demands, turning laps that kept them in contention from start to finish.
Driver time behind the wheel was shared expertly, and both the CAT DT and car 432 entries recorded consistent race miles — valuable experience as the season progresses towards events like the Race of Remembrance and the team’s international programmes.
A Step Forward in a Competitive Series
While podium places always bring the headlines, the work done by the drivers and crew across the Snetterton endurance races reflects just how competitive the C1 Endurance Series has become — and how RABsport continues to compete at the sharp end.
With solid results, mechanical resolution and valuable data gathered over the weekend, the team now looks ahead with confidence to the next rounds of the season.
