JLM by RABsport Victorious in UK Class at the 2025 C1 Eurocup 24 Hours of Portimão

The JLM by RABsport team delivered an outstanding performance at the C1 Eurocup 24 Hours of Portimão, securing 3rd place overall and victory in the UK Class after an intense 24 hours of racing at the spectacular Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Competing against a large and highly competitive international grid, the team showed strong pace from the very start of the event. During qualifying, the #346 Citroën C1 put in a superb lap to secure overall pole position, giving the team the perfect start heading into the demanding 24-hour race.

Behind the wheel throughout the event was a six-driver lineup consisting of Jake Little, James Little, John Gladman, Stu Ratcliffe, James Geddings, and David Alstader. Across the full day and night of racing, the drivers delivered consistent pace, clean stints, and strong teamwork to keep the car firmly in contention at the front of the field.

Endurance racing at Portimão is never straightforward. The circuit’s dramatic elevation changes, combined with heavy traffic from dozens of similar-performance cars, create constant challenges for both drivers and engineers. Strategy, reliability, and precision pit work are critical to success over such a long race distance.

The RABsport crew executed the race with discipline and efficiency throughout the 24 hours. Fast and organised pit stops, smart strategy calls, and faultless preparation ensured the car remained competitive as the race unfolded. As the hours ticked down, the team continued to push while managing the car carefully to ensure it reached the finish without issue.

When the chequered flag finally fell after a gruelling 24 hours, the results confirmed an excellent outcome for the team: 3rd place overall on the international grid and P1 in the UK Class. The result capped off a near-perfect weekend that began with pole position and ended with silverware.

For RABsport Racing, the performance demonstrated the strength of preparation, teamwork, and experience in endurance racing. The collaboration with JLM proved to be a winning combination, with drivers and crew delivering a professional performance from start to finish.

The team would like to thank the drivers, mechanics, partners, and supporters who contributed to the result and helped make the weekend such a success.

After a standout showing in Portugal, the team looks forward to building on this momentum in future endurance events.
